Giving thanks is a practice that we should all embrace. While we may not celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday in Jamaica, we certainly embrace the practice of giving thanks for the many blessings that we enjoy. It doesn’t matter where you are from or where you live, we also experience joyful and sad moments in our lives. Sometimes we loose loved ones due to illness or tragic circumstances, but if we pause for a while and reflect on the good that has happen and count them one by one, we will come to realize that we have numerous blessings for which we should be truly grateful.
So on this coming Thanksgiving holiday, we pause to celebrate with our neighbours to the north and wish for them a wonderful season of giving thanks and time spent with friends and family. If you wish to visit the island of Jamaica over this holiday, you will be happy to know that many hotels do have special activities and traditional thanksgiving meals planned for the occasion.
